Safer Sleep Week 9 - 15 March
This week is Safer Sleep Week from the Lullaby Trust.
We know that greater awareness of safer sleep leads to a decrease in the numbers of babies dying.
Sadly around four babies a week still die from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) in the UK.
In Cornwall, since 2024 eight babies have died where unsafe sleeping environments have been a factor. If all parents were aware of safer sleep advice, many lives could be saved.
