Multi-Agency Organisational Safeguarding Policy

The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Safeguarding Adults Board's Multi-Agency Organisational Safeguarding Policy provides a framework for identifying, preventing and responding to organisational abuse and neglect affecting adults with care and support needs. It supports a coordinated, multi-agency approach that prioritises prevention, early intervention, partnership working and person-centred safeguarding practice.

The policy helps organisations recognise indicators of organisational abuse, including poor leadership, ineffective governance, unsafe practices, neglect and recurring quality concerns. It also sets out when an organisational safeguarding response may be required and outlines the roles and responsibilities of providers, commissioners, regulators and safeguarding partners.

The guidance includes arrangements for information sharing, risk assessment, safeguarding meetings, service improvement planning and quality assurance, while promoting the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal and collaborative working.

Overall, the policy aims to ensure adults are protected from harm by supporting effective partnership responses, continuous learning and improvement, and the delivery of safe, high-quality care services.
