Help Shape the Future of Suicide Prevention in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly
The Wellbeing and Public Health Team would like to hear from you
as they review and refresh their Suicide Prevention Strategy
Every suicide is a tragic loss that has a profound and lasting impact on families, friends, workplaces, schools, communities and support services.
Suicide can be preventable, and together we can play a role in reducing suicide and supporting those affected.
The Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Suicide Prevention Strategy 2022–2027 sets out our shared commitment to preventing suicide, reducing inequalities, promoting mental wellbeing, and ensuring that people receive the right support at the right time.
As they continue to implement the current strategy, this consultation will inform the refresh for the new one early in 2027.
The team would like to hear from community groups, professionals and partner organisations about
- What is working well in suicide prevention across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
- What challenges people continue to face when accessing support.
- Whether the current priorities remain relevant.
- What additional actions or areas of focus should be considered.
- How services and communities can work together more effectively to prevent suicide and support recovery.
