Working with Parental Consent
Designed for colleagues in early years settings, education, housing, health, the police and voluntary sector organisations; this training will explore how social workers in the Multi-agency Referral Unit work with parental consent when assessing safeguarding referrals.
Using case examples, the session will explore when to seek consent from parents prior to submitting a referral and how to balance the importance of open and transparent conversations with the need to safeguard the child.
