Professional Curiosity in Adult Safeguarding Practice

This 1 hour long session facilitated by Teams will seek to:

• Define professional curiosity and illustrate how it manifests in everyday practice across adult services.
• Recognise the importance of professional curiosity as a key element in safeguarding.
• Consider how to enhance and apply the skills and knowledge required to work with curiosity, including active listening, respectful challenge, and critical thinking.
• Reflect on real-world examples where a lack of professional curiosity impacted outcomes, and identify lessons learned.
