Multi-Agency Child Protection and Safeguarding Masterclass 08/03/2027: Violence Against Women and Girls: Safeguarding in Practice (International Women's Day)
Marking International Women’s Day, this session explores violence against women and girls as a safeguarding issue, including domestic abuse, sexual violence, stalking, coercive control and exploitation.
Aim: To strengthen practitioners’ understanding of gender-based violence and their ability to provide safer, more effective responses.
Outcomes:
- Recognise the different forms and patterns of violence against women and girls.
- Understand how gender, power, inequality and intersecting identities can shape risk and access to support.
- Identify indicators of escalating harm, coercive control and high-risk abuse.
- Apply survivor-centred, trauma-informed and multi-agency safeguarding responses.
Cancellation Charge
Please note that with effect from 1st November we will be introducing a cancellation charge of £75. This will apply to cancellations that take place 48hours or less before the start of the course or if you book a place but do not attend.
