Multi-Agency Child Protection and Safeguarding Masterclass 23/4/26- Whole Family Working (Half-Day Course)
Course Aim
To develop practitioners’ ability to apply a whole family approach in line with OSCP safeguarding principles, recognising that effective safeguarding requires coordinated multi-agency responses that consider the needs, risks, and strengths of the entire family system.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Explain whole family working within the OSCP multi-agency safeguarding framework.
- Recognise how parental factors (e.g. mental health, substance use, domestic abuse) impact child safety.
- Identify risk, need, and protective factors across the family system.
- Understand thresholds for intervention and the role of Early Help and MARU.
- Apply information sharing principles to support safeguarding decisions.
- Work effectively with partners in line with OSCP multi-agency arrangements.
- Reflect on how whole family practice improves safeguarding outcomes.
Cancellation Charge
Please note that with effect from 1st November we will be introducing a cancellation charge of £75. This will apply to cancellations that take place 48hours or less before the start of the course or if you book a place but do not attend.
