CIoS SAB Safeguarding for Managers and Leaders

We have an exciting opportunity to share of FREE Safeguarding training for Managers and Leaders in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly

Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Safeguarding Adults Board (CIoS SAB) has commissioned the training to support our partners and local agencies to meet the competencies agreed within the multi-agency Competency Framework. This is a full day session being delivered by Able Training using Microsoft teams.

Following the Safeguarding training for Managers and Leaders, it is expected that attendees will have demonstrable knowledge and skills in managing safeguarding concerns in a person-centred way, ensuring their teams work positively to safeguard adults who may be at risk of harm within their individual practice, systems, training, cultures and policies and procedures.

Key Learning outcomes include

• Revision of Key legislation and its application to adult safeguarding
• Understanding Safeguarding in the context of the six statutory principles and making Safeguarding personal
• Review of CIOS competency framework and its application to practice
• Embedding Professional Curiosity in the workplace culture
• Role of leaders and Managers in Adult Safeguarding
• Practice applied to  Cornwall SAR’s (extracting the learning)
• Restorative Supervision
