A Multi-Agency Perspective on the Child Protection Process

Course Description

This multiagency training is for professionals across agencies to learn about the Child Protection process. Using a case study to help us think about the different aspects of the process, we will explain what the threshold for Child Protection is and what that means for families, as well as your role within it. We will cover the key milestones in the process, including Strategy Discussions and Section 47 Enquiries, and what is expected of multiagency partners as laid out in Working Together 2018.

There will also be a section specifically about the Child Protection Conference and how a Child Protection Plan should be put together, as well as issues around professional differences and how to resolve these.

Please come prepared to join in interactively so that everyone gets as much out of the session as possible!

We look forward to seeing you there.

Joanna Jones - Principal Children's Rights Advocate

Michelle Cole - Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children

Julie Fielding - Board Manager (Our Safeguarding Children's Partnership)
